Our new house!!!
As most of you know, this was a long and nerve wrecking
struggle. But at last, on the 9th of April 2001 we were ready to
move.
To make it easier for regular visitors of this site to see just
the new things, we will list new pictures here and again
below in their proper place.

Another breakfast in the garden picture. (This is still from last year; it isn't that warm here!) |
Our office, now re-done to store more books etc. |
Moving out...
But first we had to move out and put our things into storage:
Moving out of the old house: Most things are packed and the teddies are ready to go. |
We put things into storage while waiting for the people to move out of our new house. |

... and moving in...
Finally we had the completion day. All things were moved out
of storage into a van and transported to our new house.
This is what our new home looks like: (Most of these pictures
were taken just after we moved in so please excuse the mess and
bear in mind that we hadn't redecorated yet.)
The end of the moving-in day: Exhausted, but not too exhausted to celebrate with some bubbly |

...and this the dining room. Both are actually one big room divided only by that work surface |
The last room downstairs is the living room. The second picture was taken after our first re-decorating stint. |
Upstairs: the hallway |
Our bedroom. (No, we are not going to keep that decoration!) |
The guest bedroom. It is now a lot tidier and friendlier (carpet and even has a double bed). We even had our first pioneer guest stay there already. |
The third bedroom is now the ironing room. |
The last bed room serves as our office. |
Our bathroom (no, the Bidet doesn't even work) |
These pictures are from our garden: View towards the house |
We have three sheds (no more need to throw things away! Hurray!) |
Visitors!
The honour of the first visit to our new nest goes to Anne and
the children (when are you coming?):
No more bubbly but good tea |
Playing with the empty boxes... |
We are now starting to settle in and the redecoration is
progressing steadily:
In August we had a late housewarming party when we inaugurated our barbeque in the garden. |
We managed to use our garden quite often during the summer. |
This is the dining room now... |
... compare with the original: |
We have our now floor in the living room. Also the sofas and the coffee table have arrived. |
